I am an Integrative counsellor which means quite simply that I am trained in a number of different approaches and so we are not restricted in how we work and can choose the best approach to suit your needs. The approaches I am trained in are Person Centred, CBT, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis and Solution Focused although my main approach is relational. Its all about the relationship with me.
What Can I expect from Counselling?
Together we will build a relationship with a view to reducing any emotional suffering whether it be making a decision or developing coping skills, reaching a goal, empowering or supporting you. Counselling can help you make a positive change to your life.
What happens next?
I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation in which you can see how we get along, discuss your needs and ask any questions you may have. I can promise you, you will receive a warm reception but if you feel unable to do this you can make your initial contact by email. We will discuss a suitable location and time slot for you and the counselling will begin. Your sessions will be weekly and will last for 50 minutes. These will normally be made for the same time each week and after your first session we will agree on how many sessions will be needed.
